I am a classically trained violinist and violin/viola teacher. I play acoustic electric violin/fiddle and do back-up vocals with Celtic rockers The Brazen Heads, reggae and other styles with Walt Richardson & The Peaceful Warriors and also occasional shows with flamenco guitarist Drew Bennett. I also do recording studio session work. My playing could be heard on a recent episode of Discovery Channel's "A Haunting" with Latin guitarist Eddie Benitez and I've made numerous appearances on local TV. In the recent past I played country pop fiddle with the sweet-singing Alston Sisters and was formerly in the 1st violin section of the Tempe Symphony.

I am sometimes asked what my favorite style or genre of music is. This is really impossible for me to answer because I listen to all kinds of music, play in bands that vary greatly in style, play and teach classical music and keep trying to learn more and more to expand my musical knowledge.

The first few songs in the mp3 player above are from the newly released "Who's Yer Paddy" by the Celtic rock band I'm in, The Brazen Heads. The Heads are an incredibly fun band, as well as being a bunch of talented musicians. The CD can be purchased at our shows or on CDBaby.com (click on the picture of the CD at the bottom of this page).

The next mp3 above consists of short clips from some of the recording sessions I've done. This series of clips shows some of the variety of music I've been involved in with both acoustic and electric violins.

Next up are two originals written by my good friend Walt Richardson, the first recorded live at the McDowell Mountain Music Festival with our band The Peaceful Warriors, the second done in the studio along with guitarist Hannes Kvaran, who completes our trio that has been performing together for over 11 years..

The fourth track is a beautiful tune from a recording session I did for the Christian duo ReignDown. Just beautiful.

I love to rock out on stage with the various bands I play in, but my original music is something completely different. The other three pieces in the mp3 player are originals on which I play all the instruments.

One of these days I'll get around to recording some classical pieces that I'm working on to display a level of difficulty that may not be shown in the original compositions or popular music that I do.
